It is on the night of November 19th that the brand new Maybach S-class series of Mercedes Benz luxury car family first met the public. Steered by Angelika Howland, a German director who’s had experience on Olympic Games, the Maybach S-class World Premiere was themed with a traditional Chinese cultural concept: “家國情懷，禮待天下”(To be dedicated to his nation and family; to treat the world with Li -- due courtesy and respect in Chinese tradition.). As the Maybach S-class series was aimed at the Chinese high-end luxury car market, the premiere field was filled with intense but yet exquisite Chinese cultural atmosphere. With the help of the stunning lighting, sound and video effects produced by SOES, together, the Chinese cultural features, Chinese Kunqu opera, and the traditional Chinese dance gave the Premiere field immense Chinese cultural feelings. A delegation of Mercedes Benz senior managers from Beijing and Germany, including Mr. Nicholas Speeks -- President and CEO of BMBS, attended the premiere and gave splendid speeches.
During the Maybach World Premiere, SOES was involved as a high-end audio, video, and lighting (AVL) services supplier. With a tight schedule in less than half a month, SOES managed to organize a full range of AVL services as well as professional AVL teams for the Premiere under the pressure of the 9 exhibition projects of Guangzhou Auto Show 2014 being held simultaneously. To everyone’s delight, owing to her excellent coordinating skills and quick response capacity, SOES fulfilled the premiere organizer’s expectation by presenting the event field with splendid lighting, sound and video effects.
In terms of technical aspects, video devices were operated by the PDANDORA Signal Control from SOES. Besides the beautiful projection of Chinese paintings on the hall roof resulted from 16 packs of 160,000 LM projectors, what caught peoples’ eye most was the T-shaped HD LED screen located at the back of the stage. It was composed of 162 P3.91 HD LED modules, 135cm*75cm in size. What’s worth mentioning is that, in order to achieve the best technical outcome and to catch the schedule, SOES professionals worked through the night so as to flawlessly match all modules into one. Cheerfully, the LED screen worked perfectly from the beginning to the end of the Premiere, showing audiences every exquisite details of the Maybach S-class.
In the end, thankfully for the trust from SOES clients and the devotion from all SOES most dedicated staff, the 2014 Mercedes Benz Maybach World Premiere successfully came to an end in the echoes of the last Chinese music.
